TBI 20th Anniversary Gala

Heavenly Mountain Resort's Lakview Lodge

 

Come celebrate 20 years of successful international partnership between Lake Tahoe and Lake Baikal!

 

Tickets: $35 in advance, $40 at the door.

Tickets include a complimentary drink and a dinner buffet, followed by dessert, live music and dancing.

 

The evening's festivities will include:

  • Live music by Americana Blues-Jazz band “Thick Soup”
  • Signature drinks commemorating TBI’s 20 years of programming

Guest Speaker Robert Birkbyis an American adventure guide, author, photographer, speaker and trail designer who has done work at both Tahoe and Baikal. His talk will focus on the long-term value of programs like TBI, which provide young environmental leaders with hands-on experience and a connection to place.

 

Dwight Steele Awardee Helen Pickering is a 70 year summer resident of Echo Lake who has spent decades working to preserve and protect the Tahoe Basin and the Sierra Nevada environment. A TBI Board member since 1993, she believes that by fostering relationships among young environmentalists from around the world, the TBI program will lead to understanding and peaceful, positive relations with the countries involved.

 

Details for the evening:

The tram will run continuously beginning at 4:30 PM.
(Please park at Heavenly’s California Base Lodge)

The Gala reception will begin at 5:00 PM. Guest speaker, participant introductions, and award presentations will be spaced throughout the evening. Silent Auction Bidding will close at 9:00 PM. Music and dancing will continue until approximately 10:00 PM.
