Compensation: ~ $2,000 Total ($300 per week + $500 bonus upon departure)

Description: We are looking for a cook for our Summer Environmental Exchange Program. The position is approximately 6 weeks, from early-June to mid-July. Beginning and end dates are somewhat flexible. We offer no-cost on-site housing at Fredericks' site on Fallen Leaf Lake, near Lake Tahoe, during the program. Responsibilities: Plan a diverse and healthy menu for five weeks. Work within a limited budget and manage all food purchases (this includes arranging deliveries as well as making frequent trips to local grocery stores and farmers markets.) Prepare two or three meals /day for a group of 25 (occasionally up to 50). Serve meals on time, and be willing/able to cater to a potentially wide variety of dietary needs. A qualified applicant will be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Ideal candidates will have a clean driving record and have their own reliable vehicle, which he or she would be willing to use for shopping trips (mileage will be reimbursed).
